We are pleased to announce that Fisher BioServices is the recipient of the 2017 Chelsea Santucci Greenovation Award from Kimberly-Clark Professional. This award is in regonition of Fisher BioServices' successful onboarding of the RightCycle program and diversion of solid glove waste from landfills over the past year.
Fisher BioServices diverted 39,635 pounds of garments or glove waste from landfills in 2016 by utilizing the RightCycle recycling program, a 41% increase year over year. The organization not only contributed to this diversion but also added five site locations to RightCycle in 2016, helping to expand the program.
The Greenovation Awards were established in 2013. In 2015, the awards were renamed in honor of Chelsea Santucci, a Kimberly-Clark Professional employee who passed away from cancer at age 26. Chelsea was passionate about sustainability and instrumental in the creation of The RightCycle Program. It is the hope of Kimberly-Clark Professional that her memory and her legacy will live on through these awards.
Congratulations to the Fisher BioServices team on this outstanding achievement.
